Strength training for women

9/16/2021

New month which means time to set my new monthly goals.

I found that I get bored every 4-6 weeks. For me, boredom leads to be uninterested and unmotivated physical activity.
Every month I find a new fitness challenge or goal to seek after. Staying healthy and active as we get older is key to longevity. Mixing up the routines can keep us going.
The fitness goal I tend to go for is to drop some weight. I have been able to maintain this through COVID. Of course, I have the ups and downs of that water weight fluctuations.
I reflected on my fitness numbers from the last month. On the days I did weight lift, I closed my Apple Watch circle. I burned more calories on those days than the cardio-only days.
I usually do 2-3 days a week of training and cardio daily. I decided to reverse that. I had to make a plan. For my idea to be successful, a plan was needed. I mapped out my days for nutrition, strength, and cardiovascular training.

Balance Wellness with a spiritual mind

8/7/2021

This past month I have been practicing a balance between work, home, and building a business. My role at work has developed into a leadership role. My health and wellness business will be starting, and the kids will be back to school soon. Needless to say I need my well being to be balance.

Wellness is the glue that keeps life together. I love to keep my focus on God's path for life.

Please note I’m about to embark on a journey in the Bible. This is my opinion only. There is no one size fits all for a balance of health and wellness. This is just one of many ways I can balance my life.

My guilty pleasure is bags and planners. I have so many different ones, I thought it would be fun to share.

Some of the links in this post are affiliate links and if you purchase anything through them I will receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you.

My weekend bag is my crossbody purse from Amazon. It has the following inside:
  • A make up bag, from a friend. It holds all the bathroom essentials like toothbrush and mouthwash.
  • Delfonics bag (yellow) has all my planner stuff for my Micro Happy Planner.
  • Elephant bag that came with the purse has my women personal items.
  • My AirPods is a need for when I commute to work. I can’t forgot my lavender lip and hand balm I can’t live without.
  • Lastly my disposal straw to save the turtles.
